Jamie Hewlett – Gorillaz – Stained Glass Window Prints – Full Set – Matching Edition Numbers

A rare, 20-year-old example of Jamie Hewlett’s early Gorillaz work, published by the now-defunct Pictures on Walls, previously owned by Banksy and Jamie Hewlett.

Created for Gorillaz’s second album, Demon Days (released in May 2005), the stained glass pieces employed advanced print techniques for the time.

POW description: ‘A beautiful piece of work. Made around the time of Gorillaz ‘Demon Days’ album – arguably still one of the 21st Century’s most coherent masterpieces.‘

A strictly limited worldwide release, each piece is lithographically printed with silkscreen finishing on heavyweight cotton fibre rag paper. The print technique gives the stained glass lead a raised, textured feel.

Each piece in the set has a matching edition number, along with the Pictures on Walls blind stamp.

Since Pictures on Walls closed in 2017, complete sets of the Stained Glass pieces have become extremely rare and highly sought after.
