Jamie Hewlett – Official Gorillaz Demon Days Playing Cards – New & Sealed (2005)

Originally available in strictly limited numbers via the Gorillaz G-Shop in 2005 in conjunction with the launch of their second studio album, Demon Days, during Gorillaz Phase Two, Slowboat to Hades.

Each face card features artwork from Jamie Hewlett, with band members Russel Hobbs as Jacks, Noodle as Queens and Murdoc as Kings, with 2D featured as the Joker.

During the Demon Days record launch campaign, their record label Parlophone worked with London-based company Rowleys to produce promotional items such as Vestax DJ record players, turntable mats, joke goodie bags filled with fun joke products including woopie cushions, itching powder and enamel badges, mobile phone charms and Rubik’s cubes. As a result, they were announced Winner of Best UK Marketing Campaign in 2005.

The pack is sealed, with the outer box displaying GORILLAZ DEMON DAYS — PLAYING CARDS — as per the 2005 web archive screenshot from the Gorillaz G-Shop.
